Ingredients

  • 1 packet sliced pork belly chunks

  • 2 bottles Yakult (original)

  • 1/2 Yakult bottle light soy sauce (use empty Yakult bottle as a measurement, reduce to 1/3 if prefer less salty)

  • 1 Yakult bottle plain water (use empty Yakult bottle as measurement)

  • Ready cooked quail eggs (quantity as desired)

  • 6-7 cloves garlic (whole and peeled)

  • Leafy part of leek / Chinese scallions

  1. Pan Fry the Pork Belly

    Heat a pan over medium heat and add the pork belly chunks. Pan-fry until lightly golden brown on the outside. No need to fully cook through at this stage.



  1. Add the Braising Liquids

    Pour in:

    • 2 bottles of Yakult

    • 1/2 OR 1/4 bottle light soy sauce (using the Yakult bottle)

    • 1 bottle of plain water (using the Yakult bottle)


  2. Bring to a Boil

    • Garlic cloves

    • Leek or scallions

  4. Simmer
